Platinum diamond 0.30 ct Elgin Art Deco woman's wind up wrist watch estate vintage
One (1) ladies stamped platinum diamond vintage Art Deco wind up wrist watch with steel stretch band, manufactured by Elgin. Watch is in working condition. Oval shaped case measures approximately 1 1/4" l. x 9/16" w. x 5/16" d. (30.5 mm x 14.45 mm x 7.55 mm). Band measures approximately 5" long, 3.25 mm wide. Watch dial is a rounded square shape, has hour and minute hands, Arabic numerals. "ELGIN" is printed below the 12 o'clock position. Millgraine edge. Crystal face (possibly quartz) has light scratches. There is a lightly tarnished spot between 1 and 2 o'clock position, and an even smaller spot between 10 and 11 o'clock position. Overall condition is good.
Case is set with a total of twenty six (26) diamonds, approximately 0.30 cts tw. Two (2) Marquise cut diamonds, measuring approx. 3.5 x 1.5 mm, 0.03 ct each, bezel set at the top and bottom of the watch face. Twenty four (24) 1.4 mm single cut round diamonds, weighing approx 0.01 ct each, bead set.
Approximate color/clarity of all diamonds: F-G/VS2-SI1. Well matched, cut is good.
Back of case is stamped "10% IRID.PLAT". Stretch band is stamped "SPEIDEL PAT. PEND". Total weight of complete watch is 16.7 grams.
All karat gold and platinum metal is tested with an electronic gold tester. Silver is tested with a silver test solution. All diamonds and gemstone materials are tested by a Graduate Gemologist.
